Panorama Tabek Patah

Panorama Tabek Patah ( Broken Pool View) waist volcano located between the town of Bukittinggi and Batusangkar, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Weather was cool and often foggy. When the weather is nice, the scenery was beautiful.

Tabek Patah, is the name of the panorama in Nagari Tabek Patah, Salimpaung, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra. This amazing panorama is about 16 km from the center of Batusangkar, which is the capital of the district of Tanah Datar. Batusangkar itself is 25 kilometers from Payakumbuh. Panorama is located between the two cities, Batusangkar and Bukittinggi. This area is not only the hills around there are also panoramic pine forests that add coolness when in Tabek Patah View. Tabek term fracture comes from two words, namely, tabek (pool) and broken (split into two parts). According to a story broken there is a pool, so the pool is divided into two parts. In the northern part known as Talago Pakis. While in the south called the Aie Taganang. Aie in English is mean “Water”.

The first version says that long ago in the area lived a grandfather who lives in a state that is less fun, because his legs were broken. Nevertheless, he had a local pond or call with tabek, which is behind his house. The story is outstanding and makes the story identifies the origin of the Tabek Patah.

In the second version of the story says that the first tabek (pool) is divided into two parts, and then transformed into a lake, then the people named the lake by Talago Pakis Lake and Aie Taganang Lake. Until now people around believe both versions Tabek Patah origin, although the truth of the story is not known for sure until now.

Puyu fish are fish that live only tawat water around Tabek fracture, so that people around saying Fish is Fish Typical Puyu Tabek Patah, you can enjoy the traditional side dishes typical Nagari Tabek Patah.
